Last Sunday I went to my first car meet of 2026! I was so excited about it and it definitely exceeded my expectations…

A Sunday morning right in the center of Paris, surrounded by hundreds of beautiful cars. And the variety of cars is always what amazes me at these meets. There is truly a little bit of everything, from an R5 Turbo to an 812 Superfast to all kinds of Alpines (I mean we are in France after all)

This was a Car B(r)unch hosted by Mecanicus. This isn’t one of those car meets that happens every week, so when they do plan one, you don’t want to miss it.

If you’ve never been to a car meet before and have always wondered what do you actually do there…? Well let me tell you.

First of all, most car meets happen early on a Sunday morning. And they’re basically a social gathering for car enthusiasts, to hang out, connect with the community, drive their cars and see other cars. Sometimes there’s a theme (like classic cars, or JDM, or Porsches) but other times it’s also open and inclusive to all kinds of cars, like this Mecanicus meet.

The biggest takeaway I have to share about car meets is this: you don’t actually need a car to go to a car meet! I used to assume you could only attend if you had a car but that’s so not true, I love going to meets and events like this just on my own without a car, it’s a great opportunity to see cool cars and meet other people with same passion.
(Actually the biggest takeaway is always be respectful of others and their cars)

So if you haven’t been to a car meet yet, I definitely recommend it!
